Frequently Asked Questions

What is sustainability in clothing?

When making clothes, sustainability focuses on the environmental impact that the materials, dyes, and manufacturing processes have. The goals of sustainable fashion is to use efficient and minimal natural resources and to ensure that all materials are organic or recycled. Many clothing manufacturers use toxic dyes and animal byproducts. Our clothing material is 100% organic/recycled and our dyes Oeko-Tex, GOTS, and Vegan. Organic cotton uses less water and no fertilizers or pesticides during production. Sustainable clothing doesn't only help the planet, it is also keeping your skin chemical-free.

How can clothing be ethical?

Clothing cannot be truly sustainable without also being ethical and vice-versa. If workers are not making a fair wage or have healthy working conditions then the clothing is not sustainable for humanity, even if the materials are sustainable. If the clothing is not sustainable, toxic dyes and chemicals can harm the workers who are making or printing the clothing. Sustainability and ethicality work together to ensure that your clothing isn't harming humanity or the Earth. At Earth to Kiki, our mission is to bring sustainable and ethical fashion trends to eCommerce.
